Screening of a novel anti-proliferative agent

Around 1 in every 3 people will be affected by cancer at some point in their life. The survival rate for many cancers has improved dramatically with the introduction of new treatments, however, severe side effects are commonly experienced and the failure rate of treatments remains disappointingly high.  Research into the development of new cancer therapies is therefore critical in order to improve survival rate and quality of life in cancer patients.
