A Study of Hypoxic Ischaemic Brain Damage

Birth asphyxia is a condition clinically defined as abnormal neurological behaviour at birth and occurs in 1.2-1.8 /1000 births per year. One of the main causes relates to a perinatal cerebral hypoxic-ischaemic (HI) insult and the sequelae include death and brain damage.
