Brain Mechanisms of Operant Behaviour
Operant behaviour is voluntary behaviour that is controlled by its consequences. For example, the probability that a certain voluntary action will occur in the future is increased if the same action has recently been followed by a rewarding consequence (‘reinforcer’).
