The objective of this Project License is to identify and evaluate chemicals that could provide new medicines for the treatment of primary pulmonary hypertension. High blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs (pulmonary hypertension) leads to right-sided heart failure and premature death - mean survival time from diagnosis is currently 2.5 years.
