Mammalian Cdx genes in development and cancer
Homeobox genes have been shown to be crucial for proper embryonic development. They are present, and perform similar functions, in animals as diverse as insects and man. Of particular interest to us is the homeobox Cdx gene family that comprises three genes in mammals, called Cdx1, Cdx2 and Cdx4. Our particular focus in this project licence application is the Cdx2 and Cdx4 genes.
