The initiation and resolution of inflammation
Several important human diseases including coronary heart disease and rheumatoid arthritis are caused by chronic inflammation. This project is designed to test the role of a specific class of proteins produced by the body in response to tissue injury in the process of inflammation and identify new targets for the development of better anti-inflammatory drugs.
