Mouse models of cardiovascular disease
There are 2 major objectives to our continuing program of work:
1. To identify molecular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease using gene delivery (usually viruses), pharmacological intervention (drugs) or a combination of these in experimental mouse models.
2. To develop improved gene delivery vectors (ie viruses which are used to deliver DNA into cells) for cardiovascular disease.
