Identification and functional characterisation of stem cells
The purpose of this project is to identify, isolate and characterise stem cells from embryonic, foetal and adult tissues in order to acquire knowledge of their roles in development, tissue renewal and disease, and to provide a thorough research basis for any intended clinical applications of cell replacement therapy
