493: Endocannabinoid function in appetite regulation
The objective of this project is to determine the physiological role of the endocannabinoid system in the control of feeding behaviour. The results of this research will be communicated to other workers in this field by presentations at scientific meetings and publications in scientific journals. These findings will further our understanding about the mechanisms underpinning the regulation of food intake and will be of use in developing treatments for clinical disorders such as obesity and anorexia in man.
