495: Hamster model for study of clostridium difficile
The aims of this project are to establish a reliable animal model of Clostridium difficile infection, which can then be used in studies to better understand the mechanism of disease caused by this organism and for testing of new therapies that will prevent or reduce incidence of this increasingly important human disease.
