322: Polyclonal antisera production in rabbit
This project involves the production of polyclonal antisera in rabbits, specifically against type specific pertussis agglutinins. Antisera produced during work from this licence will be supplied to NHS hospital laboratories enabling them to identify the bacterium causing whooping cough, to serotype the stain currently causing whooping cough and monitor the effectiveness of vaccines in use.
