328: Exploring the links between obesity, insulin resistance and vascular disease
This work will allow us to identify molecular pathways which regulate the development of insulin resistance and obesity. We will also be able to determine whether the genes and proteins we are studying explain the link between insulin resistance and endothelial dysfunction, and to examine the mechanisms by which insulin resistance and diabetes affect blood vessel repair.
