330: Retinoic Acid Function in the Hippocampus

Vitamin A is an essential nutrient but little is known about how it affects the brain of the adult.  In general, vitamin A acts though its product retinoic acid.  This project will investigate how retinoic acid regulates one region of the brain — the hippocampus, an area essential for learning and memory.
