356: Fetal imprinted gene disruption and maternal metabolism
To test the novel hypothesis that fetal genes are able to cause an alteration in maternal metabolism (i.e. her circulating glucose concentrations, how well her body responds to insulin and her blood pressure) during pregnancy so as to boost transfer of nutrients across the placenta and therefore fetal growth.
