141: Mechanisms of translational control
In this project, adult females of the frog Xenopus laevis will be injected with hormones in order to collect oocytes and eggs. We are investigating oogenesis (the making of eggs) and early embryogenesis (the development into a tadpole), especially with respect to stored maternal mRNAs.
