148: Development of herpes simplex virus therapies
Existing cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy are effective in curing some forms of cancer. However, there are still a large number of cancers which cannot be successfully treated with such therapies, leaving these patients with a poor prognosis. Thus there is an urgent need to develop new anti-cancer treatments to help such patients. The aim of this project is to develop new treatments based on the Herpes simplex virus.
