057: Implamentation of a novel heart assist device
Heart failure is a disease affecting almost 1 million people in the UK, but even with the best medical treatment, mortality from heart failure remains very high (40% of people die within one year of an initial diagnosis of heart failure). The aim of our reasearch is to develop a heart assist device to support the failing heart.
