113-07: Regulation of mRNA translation in response to anthracycline antibiotics
The anthracycline antibiotics are a highly effective group of broad spectrum anticancer drugs. However there is a major clinical problem associated with their use; cardiac toxicity. The purpose of this project is to further understand the biochemical mechanisms which give rise to the toxicity.
