39-07: Prevention and treatment of severe sepsis
Severe bacterial infection is the single most common cause of death in Intensive Care Units in the developed world. This project aims to improve our prevention and management of severe sepsis through development of new, vaccines, new therapies, improved diagnosis and, lastly, by identification of new targets for therapy in sepsis.
