494-07: Evaluation of the Inverdale gene for UK sheep systems

The overall Aim of the research is to evaluate the potential of a naturally occurring mutation found in Romney sheep, the ‘Inverdale gene’, to provide economically sustainable systems of sheep production with enhanced carcass quality when incorporated into the UK stratified crossbreeding industry structure.
