Improving the diagnostics and treatment of prostate cancer
The overall aim of the programme is to understand how mutations in oncogenes and tumour suppressor genes cooperate with other molecular biological changes to cause prostate cancer, and in particular how such molecular biological changes induce resistance to hormonal ablation, which is a commonly used method of treatment.
