Mouse models of neural tumours
We have and are constructing genetic mouse models of paediatric solid tumours that overexpress the MYCN cancer causing gene. Our goal is to understand how this oncogene stimulates the formation of neurologic tumours such as neuroblastoma and medulloblastoma. We also wish to develop safe and effective new molecular therapeutics for these deadly paediatric cancers.
