Smooth muscle structure and contractility
The overall aim of the project is to investigate the possible abnormalities in smooth muscle structure and function underlying airway hyper-reactivity (AH) in cystic fibrosis. Airway hyper-reactivity can lead to respiratory failure in CF so it is vitally important that we understand the underlying causes.
