HOSDB 2007 Exhibition – the UK’s premier showcase for the latest security equipmment – another successful year!
This annual exhibition held on 21 and 22 March 2007 at RAF Halton proved to be as successful as ever. Over 200 exhibitors and leading suppliers were present in over 145 different categories displaying 3,000 products in fields such as imaging systems, search equipment and body armour. There were more than 2,600 visitors, 300 of which were overseas visitors.
Joan Ryan, Home Office Science Minister opened the show and spent the morning touring round exhibitors with HOSDB’s Director. She spoke to a number of exhibitors and was very impressed with the range and variety of equipment on show. Joan said: "This exhibition shows the rest of the world that HOSDB is really driving forward with this kind of work and collaborating closely with industry and with the private sector. I’ve seen some fantastic products – things that will increase security on our borders, increase the effectiveness of policing operations – products that will clearly save lives."
The exhibition is organised in partnership with the Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers (APPSS). Next year’s exhibition will take place on 12 and 13 March 2008; for more information about exhibiting email APPSS on inform@appss.org.uk . A visitor registration form will be available towards the end of the year for individuals eligible to attend as visitors which extend to the Police Service, government departments and law enforcement agencies worldwide.
