Classification
Systems submitted to HOSDB for i-LIDS evaluations will be given an evaluation classification The classification system for the multiple camera tracking evaluations will be set closer to the evaluation date.
An event detection system will achieve one of the following classifications:
-
operational alert (primary) - recommended as primary detection system in the operational alert role for parked vehicle detection applications
-
operational alert (secondary) - recommended as secondary detection system in the operational alert role for parked vehicle detection applications
-
approaching practical recommendation – system demonstrates performance within a modest range of that required for classification as a secondary detection system for parked vehicle detection applications
-
event based recording – system recommended for use in the event based recording role for parked vehicle detection applications.
-
no classification
Systems which achieve the operational alert (primary) classification will also be given permission to use the i-LIDS logo The logo is specific to the scenario, company, system type and version. The evaluation date refers to the financial year in which the system passed.
Primary detection systems are recommended for sole operation as a method of detection for operational alert applications.
Secondary detection systems are recommended for use in combination with a supplementary method of detection for operational alert applications.
Event based recording systems are recommended as a basis for triggered event recording where captured footage is to be reviewed later.
Of the systems evaluated, only those gaining the primary and secondary operational Alert and event based recording classifications will be listed in the Centre for Protection of National Infrastructure Catalogue of Security Equipment.
