i-LIDS datasets and pricing
Details of the cost and system requirements for the i-LIDS datasets, and dataset examples.
Datasets
Each scenario in the i-LIDS library is split into three equivalent video datasets each comprising some 24-hours of footage. The MCT Dataset contains approximately 50 hours of footage.
The public and training datasets will be made available to academics and manufacturers of for the purpose of developing systems
We will keep the remaining private evaluation datasets for independent evaluation in regular trials.
Available datasets
Each dataset contains a variety of video clips from every 'stage' (fixed camera view) and users can search for clips containing different types of alarm event, weather conditions etc. based on a high-level ground truth included with each dataset.
The parked vehicle dataset includes - at no extra cost - the low level, frame based text annotation developed by the United States National Institute for Standards and Technology. The ground truth data resulting from this labour intensive process is ideal for validating the performance of object tracking algorithms.
Examples of datasets
For a demonstration DVD of the i-LIDS Parked Vehicle Scenario or Multiple Camera Tracking Scenario email your name, address and company details.
System requirements
Each public dataset is provided on a 500GB USB2/Firewire external hard drive - except the MCTS Scenario which is 1TB - in either NTFS or Mac format as required.
The video is rendered in "Quicktime MJPEG" format. Apple's free "Quicktime" viewer is required to view the video. Users with "Quicktime Pro" can easily join adjacent clips together.
To obtain a composite output signal at full frame rate, it is suggested that users utilise a video editing package and DVD burner to export i-LIDS footage onto a DVD which can then be played on a stand-alone DVD player.
Internet Explorer 6 is the recommended browser for accessing the user interface.
Pricing
Multiple Camera Tracking (MCT)
HOSDB does not charge for providing the MCT dataset but companies and research institutions will need to provide their own hard disks media. Please do not send hard disks until a member of the i-LIDS team contacts you.
To obtain a dataset complete the MCT application form and the relevant end-user licence agreement for commercial companies or academic institutions. HOSDB welcomes applications during the priority registration period:
Applications will be dealt with on a first-come, first served basis. The application must be accompanied with a signed and dated copy of the End User Licence Agreement. A member of the i-LIDS team will contact you regarding your application.
Event Detection
A charge is levied to cover the hardware, duplication and distribution costs of producing i-LIDS Event Detection datasets. HOSDB receive no revenue from the sale of i-LIDS. The pricing schedule is as follows:
- £650 per dataset for 1 or more datasets
- £550 per dataset for 5 or more datasets
Please note that academic applications are now eligible to a 25% discount on any purchase.
All fees stated are exclusive of VAT.
To apply for datasets, please fill out the dataset application form and End User Licence Agreement and follow the instructions on the application form, sending them to HOSDB with a cheque for the relevant amount made payable to 'Jordan UK Ltd'.
Applicants must be developers of VA systems or VA algorithms.
Because of the possibility of an application being refused, payment should be by cheque, as opposed to a guaranteed form of payment such as money order. If this is not possible, applicants should make a note to that effect with their application and HOSDB will contact them to arrange payment by some other means.
